Position Title : Building Material Estimator

Job Summary : The Building Material Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed material take-offs for single-family and multifamily construction projects. Reporting directly to the Director of Building Materials, this position plays a pivotal role in leading the estimation team and ensuring the accuracy of project budgets.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare precise material take-offs, including framing lumber, sheathing, hardware, weather-resistant barriers, and siding.
• Analyze architectural and engineering plans, specifications, UL assemblies, and project scopes.
• Work closely with the procurement team to perform cost evaluations, select materials, and develop project budgets.
• Maintain organized records of bidding and job costing data for easy reference.
• Communicate effectively with designers, field teams, and clients to enhance the quality of takeoffs.
• Manage material release schedules for designated job sites as necessary.
