Thriving restaurant group is looking to hire a Head Sushi Chef.
Qualifications:
- 4 years experience as a Sushi Chef specializing in Omakase in a high-end restaurant setting.
- 3 years experience leading a back of house team in a fine dining restaurant
- Expertise in the art of sushi rice preparation, fish selection and breakdown, and knife skills.
- Exceptional palate and ability to create unique flavor combinations that highlight the essence of each ingredient.
Responsibilities:
- As the Head Sushi Chef, work to craft personalized omakase experiences for guests, in addition to a la carte service, showcasing the freshest and highest quality ingredients available.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of traditional sushi techniques and seasonal flavor profiles.
- Interact directly with guests, explaining each dish and creating a memorable dining experience.
- Lead, coach, and direct a team that seeks to use the finest ingredients from local and international markets.
- Order and breakdown a variety of fish and goods in preparation for service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
