Your Role
The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in stockroom, warehouse, and yard by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures issued by Coastal Chemical Co & client(s). Works directly with the dispatchers to ensure customer needs are filled.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting quarterly inventory physical counts and reconciling counts with BUS data storage system.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with BUS data storage system.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (Order Point/Order Quantity report, dead stock report, and slow moving reports).
- Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
- Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with other related warehouses.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
- Manage and maintain our Hazardous Waste/Quarantine area. Including, proper labeling and classifying of hazardous waste items and coordinate pick-up with our hazardous waste vendors.
Your Profile
Skills
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience in the Warehouse; preferably in the chemical industry, and three years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
- Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office.
- Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Possess good written/oral communication skills.
