What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at JM TEST SYSTEMS LLC?
The main responsibility of the Metrology Engineering (ME) Administrative Assistant is serving as the document control coordinator. This role specializes in records management, overseeing the control and organization of technical documents from both internal and external sources. These documents may include calibration methods, procedures, drawings, software, specifications, instructions, tables, charts, and manuals. Additionally, this position provides backup support to the ME Logistics Coordinator, including the management of laboratory standards.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and strong communication skills is required.
- Significant experience and/or training in a similar office administrative role are desired
- Experience in a similar technical environment involving technical resources and equipment is preferred. Sage accounting and CalMapp work order systems on-the-job training will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
- Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- High level of organization and detail-orientation
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
