What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at JM Test Systems?
The Outside Sales/Service Representative generates revenue through sales and business development with both new clients and existing customers, providing and maintaining excellent customer service at every stage of customer contact. The goal of this position is to achieve maximum sales profitability and account penetration within assigned territories or focus areas by effectively selling the Company’s products and services. This position is critical to JM Test Systems because the outside sales role creates lasting relationships with customers and guarantees a continuous flow of business to support the Company’s financial stability and growth. Outside Sales/Service representatives work with all other employees as members of the larger JM Test Systems team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must have a High School diploma or GED
Associates degree, technical trade school or sales/marketing education preferred.
Training and Experience:
- Must have five years of experience in the process or electrical industry or equivalent JM Test Service experience.
- Must have adequate knowledge and skills in calibration and test instrument services used in electrical, dimensional, physical, mechanical and/or optical measurement disciplines to be capable of representing Company services to existing and prospective customers in areas such as: electronic equipment calibration or physical, dimensional, mechanical equipment calibration.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to use consultative sales approaches to determine solutions for customers.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and within a team environment and achieve work objectives with little or no supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- Ability to represent JM Test Systems, in a professional manner while providing Excellent Customer Service
- Able to use computer, printer and telephone.
- The Outside Sales / Services Representative must have a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record and be able to pass DISA background, plant security, and drug screens (to include UA, hair follicle, and breathalyzer), and must receive/maintain a current TWIC.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
