What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse (LPN/RN) or CMA position at JMA Pediatrics?
JMA Pediatrics is hiring FULL and PART time clinical staff including CMA, LPN and/or RN for offices in Cary, Clayton, Holly Springs, Raleigh & Wake Forest. Responsibilities:
CMA: CMA or RMA certification required
- Working as a valued member of our clinical care team (Providers, RN, LPN, Lab Tech, Lactation Consultant, CMA, RMA) providing quality care to our pediatric patients/families watching our patients grow through their milestones.
- Rooming and/or intake process, collecting data, including vital signs, height, weight, vision, hearing, and data related to patient's reason for visit;
- Gathering patient and family data, including medical and social history;
- Reviews patient's current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy;
- Assists the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures;
- Administers vaccinations under the direction of a provider;
- Collects specimens, performs phlebotomy, and performs basic lab testing;
- Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings;
- Provides patient with after-visit, follow-up, self-care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed by provider.
RN / LPN: RN, LPN, LVN license required; BLS certification preferred
- Manage provider's patient schedule and flow
- Administration of vaccines, medications and other injections
- Laboratory testing and procedures
- Telephone triage advice
- Collaborate with specialist, hospitals and other external entities to coordinate patient care
