What are the responsibilities and job description for the Navy Supply Function Subject Matter Expert (SME) position at JMA Resources?
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Navy Supply Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the ERP migration, enhancing supply chain management (SCM) processes, and ensuring the successful integration of new functionality to improve overall performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Create a stable Supply Chain Management (SCM) governance structure.
- Develop a data strategy plan for future SCM systems implementation and rationalizations.
- Analyze and optimize enterprise and operational SCM business processes.
- Consult on industry best practices on successful and effective large scale and complex supply chain management.
- Apply industry knowledge of modernized SAP tools to the existing supply chain business process.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to business practices and interfacing systems.
- Assist in developing a complete Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) of all tasks and deliverables.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as required by the role, ensuring alignment with company priorities.
Clearance Level:
- Current or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required. Note: To obtain a security clearance, you must be a US citizen and meet the 13 adjudicative guidelines.
Required Experience:
- 10 years of experience working in the Navy ERP system as a Supply Chain expert.
- 10 years of experience in governance and Navy SCM processes.
- Senior level experience in large scale SAP migrations.
- 10 years of experience with large scale transformations and best practices in the logistics and supply chain industry.
- 10 years of experience in SAP migration data strategy and Business Intelligence approaches for Supply Chain Management.
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in industry best-practice information technology (IT) project management techniques.
Qualifications:
- Mastery of Navy Supply Chain strategies, processes, and systems.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the current Navy ERP system.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics management, or a related field is preferred, but we value equivalent experience and skills from a variety of backgrounds just as much.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Location & Commitments:
- Position: Full Time
- Work Arrangement: This position is fully remote; however, candidates within a 2-hour driving radius of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, are preferred for monthly in-person meetings and collaboration sessions.
- Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required, depending on client/project needs.
- Work Hours: A typical workday consists of eight hours, totaling a forty-hour workweek. We understand that there may be times when employees will need to adjust their work hours due to client needs or personal reasons. To help balance these demands, we offer some flexibility in work schedules.
