The Operations Supervisor for 2nd shift will normally be working 4 days per week on Mondays - Thursdays from 4pm - 2:30 am at JMA's Liverpool, NY production facility. There may be the need to rarely cover the same hours on Fridays or Saturdays, when needed. This position is a salaried exempt position and not eligible for over-time pay.
- Works hand in hand with new product development teams to create a seamless transition between design and production.
- Ensure production needs are communicated and executed on time
- Report on all Operations KPI metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate, maintain, and report on all production goals
- Monitor, resolve, and report on all production complications.
- Responsible for all production metrics: OTD, Utilization, Productivity, FPY, Cycle Count Accuracy, and Scrap cost
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
- Identify Production material shortages based on SAP booking requirements and interface with Sourcing team to identify risks for corrective action.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Works collaboratively with manufacturing engineering to drive improvement in yield and throughput
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Minimum of 5 years of production management experience; a background in engineering, business, or product line management preferred
- Statistical analysis knowledge. Familiar with excel pivot table reporting and/or Minitab.
- Green belt in LEAN Management and knowledge of value stream mapping and single piece flow is nice to have.
- Excellent organization, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills and high organizational skills
- A strong systems knowledge with ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Strong knowledge in standard software applications, with strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access Database
- Experience in manufacturing, production environment setting with ERP data collection and reporting knowledge
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and perform under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to identify issues pre-emptively as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus

The US national annual base salary for this role is $65,000-$80,000. The range includes the base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
