As the Vice President of Engineering - Antenna Systems you will lead a global team and be based out of the JMA offices in Syracuse, NY or Plano, TX.
- Lead a dynamic team of RF, Mechanical, SW engineering leaders through the product development life cycle across multiple global design centers in US, EU and Asia.
- Manage and direct the research and development of cutting-edge antenna architectures with a mastery of industry trends and emerging wireless technologies.
- Technically drive projects in the research and design of passive/active antenna
- Will manage a Global R&D OPEX and CAPEX budget, and deliver on products with performance specifications, time scales, and cost.
- Employ upfront design principles using advanced simulation tools to achieve ‘right first time’ design capability where possible.
- Develop and lead mid, senior, and principal level RF/ME engineers/Leads using performance management and employee development techniques.
- Travel is necessary between all design centers
- Sales support as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree with equivalent design and leadership experience. Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of RF experience in the wireless industry; specifically in the design, simulation, analysis, and testing of antennas for volume production, base station antenna experience preferred.
- Minimum of 10years of Engineering management experience of managing a versatile group of Engineering expertise covering RF/Mechanical and SW engineers as well as staff augmentation through contractors/consultants
- Prior experience in managing design teams for satellites, radars, body wearable devices, automobiles, repeaters, and CPE equipment are welcome to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship building skills.
- Strong RF/ME and antenna theory and understanding.
- Can demonstrate leadership experience in ramping antenna products into high-volume manufacturing with aggressive customer deadlines.
- Strong understanding and prior design experience in the design of broadband, multiband multiport base station antenna arrays, filters, connector, combiners and associated technologies.
- Strong understand of Passive Intermodulation (PIM) design principles for antenna products, experienced in dealing with PIM in a production environment.
- Prior knowledge of setting up, manage and collaborate with a Global design teams is a must
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships as part of or leading a technical team.
- This position can be located in either Syracuse, NY or Plano, TX

The US national annual base salary range for this is $220,000 - $275,000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location. This role will also include an annual bonus potential.
