Position Summary
Perform a variety of accounting tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts receivable records, billing, and other accounts receivable functions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with counting cash daily.
- Reconcile credit card transactions processed on daily routing slips to the bank statement.
- Process daily routing slips and batch listings for Self Pay collections.
- Assist in monthly Self-Pay reconciliation.
- Create deposits and apply receipts by creating cash receipt (CR) entries in the accounting system from checks and cash collected.
- General filing for accounts receivable, including new grant files and binder creation.
- Scan cash receipts into the accounting folder.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and other projects.
- Process monthly grant billing as assigned and maintain grant binder.
- Assist the A/R Manager and A/R Supervisors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Accounts receivable experience required (1 year).
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in Abila MIP and NextGen EHR preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate a high level of listening skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting and valuing the perspectives and experiences of others.
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking, and social distancing.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
