Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Develop individualized employment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Provide training development sessions to enhance clients' job readiness skills.
- Facilitate workshops on interviewing techniques, resume writing, and job search strategies.
- Collaborate with local businesses to identify job openings and promote client placements.
- Educate clients on employment labor laws and their rights in the workplace.
- Offer support and mentorship throughout the job placement process to ensure successful transitions.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on best practices in social work and workforce development to continuously improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in recruiting, workforce development, or related fields.
- Nonprofit and resettlement experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of social work principles and practices.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those facing addiction issues is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops confidently.
- Knowledge of employment labor laws is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A commitment to empowering individuals through education and mentorship.
- A background in addiction counseling or related fields is a plus.

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
