What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Interior Technician position at JMC Aviation?
JMC Aviation are working with a global leader in the business aviation industry and are looking to engage with experienced Interior Technicians.
This position is offering both permanent and contracting opportunities and is based in Hartford, CT. It offers an excellent hourly rate, per diem and other great benefits. Duties within this role are as follows:
- Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings according to work orders or customer specifications.
- Perform and document all tasks in compliance with relevant manuals and regulations.
- Assist with additional tasks during slow periods, including drop-ins and planned maintenance.
- Be available for international assignments when required.
- Aid in other maintenance disciplines as required.
The ideal candidate would have the following –
- Experience in interiors, such as previous work with wood finishes and soft goods.
- You are capable of disassembling cabinets, removing hardware, and performing inlay work.
- You can strip finishes using heat and a scraper.
- You have experience sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finishing, including repairing defects in veneer.
- Right to work in the United States.
