What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydraulic Mechanical Technician position at JMC Aviation?
JMC Aviation are working with a global leader in the business aviation industry and are looking to engage with Hydraulic Mechanical Technicians .
This position is based in Wichita, KS and offers an excellent salary rate, OT and some great benefits. Duties within this role are as follows :
- Perform initial visual inspections of components to identify damage and assess the need for functional testing.
- Disassemble components, remove coatings, and clean individual parts to inspect for damage, corrosion, and overall condition.
- Measure parts to ensure conformity with relevant manual or engineering specifications.
- Record inspection and test results, and determine whether components pass, fail, or require repair.
- Assess the cost-effectiveness of repairs or overhauls, providing parts and labor estimates to supervisors, sales, or method groups.
- Replace, repair, or overhaul aircraft parts of basic to moderate complexity, such as brakes, wheels, tires, actuators, and struts.
- Conduct functional testing on basic to moderately complex components to ensure they meet operational specifications and sign off on tests.
- Perform machining tasks to create or repair ground support equipment (GSE), tools, and component parts, as needed.
