Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing heart conditions.
- Document findings accurately in patient records and communicate results to physicians.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning properly, reporting any issues as necessary.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients about the echocardiogram process, addressing any concerns they may have.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology related to cardiology and radiology.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, particularly related to the cardiovascular system.
