Overview:
As a Test Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of defense and aerospace systems, components, and equipment. You will design, develop, and implement test plans to evaluate performance, functionality, and compliance, contributing to the safety and efficiency of these technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Work with engineers and project managers to understand system requirements.
- Develop test plans to validate performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Identify critical test cases and define success criteria.
- Test Development & Execution:
- Create and execute functional, integration, performance, and stress tests.
- Set up test environments, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Analyze test results, document issues, and collaborate with design teams to resolve defects.
- Test Documentation & Reporting:
- Write detailed test reports, including findings and recommendations.
- Maintain organized test documentation for compliance and future reference.
- Communicate results to stakeholders.
- Test Automation & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop automated test scripts to improve efficiency.
- Enhance testing methodologies and stay updated on industry advancements.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Work with regulatory agencies and customers to address compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in test methodologies, development, and execution.
- Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers).
- Knowledge of industry standards (MIL-STD, DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100).
- Proficiency in programming (Python, C/C ) and test automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
