Title: Customer Service Representative – Plumbing Wholesale (PW)
Reports To: VP Sales
Line of Business: Customer Service
Status: Full-time Hours: M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Bettendorf Office
Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative in wholesale is responsible for account retention and growth within the plumbing, wholesale, industrial and water works segments of the business.
The Customer Service Representative will work directly with a variety of accounts to provide information quickly, accurately, and professionally utilizing both phone and email communication.
The information provided will be related to products, services, pricing, lead times, and any information required to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
The Vice President of Sales, and the CSR will be in contact with the same accounts on a regular basis, and the CSR will be the primary contact point for customer service needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Grow customer base within designated territory.
- Respond to all inbound customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Possess strong Customer Service experience and skills
- Possess strong follow-up skills
- Maintain and grow current customers by selling additional product categories.
- Ensure each assigned market is being serviced on a regular basis.
- Develop and maintain current department policies; ensure the policies are being followed.
- Operate with a sense of urgency.
- Contribute to the overall management philosophy of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Required Education : High School Education or GED
- Preferred Education: College Degree or specialized training in sales
- Work Experience: Three (3) years of proven sales experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively handle difficult customers and situations.
- Must possess strong and professional communication (verbal and written).
- Must have the ability to adjust high volume work periods and deadlines.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
