Financial Planning Associate - Summer 2025

JMG is in search of a full-time Financial Planning Associate to start Summer 2025. This individual must possess excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills and must be able to work in a fast-paced professional office environment. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and the willingness to learn other business-related software, in which training will be provided. Experience with Excel formulas, CCH, BNA, Orion and related research software is an advantage. The position requires basic knowledge of finance, income taxes, investments, asset allocation and estate planning concepts. The duties of this role would include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting in developing client financial plans and analysis
• Executing and follow-up of investment transactions
• Tax return preparation
• Client correspondence and follow-up
• Data Entry

The applicant must have knowledge and interest in the financial planning industry and excellent time management skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple deadline-oriented projects. A successful Financial Planning Associate will need the skills to work effectively in teams as well as independently. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a reputable wealth management firm on a long-term basis. This is not a sales position. This is a support staff position with potential for advancement. The Financial Planning Associate is a non-exempt position and is eligible for a hybrid schedule after an initial training period.

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or Business. One to two years relevant experience preferred including relevant internships.

Compensation: Non-Exempt position, pay range ($50,000 - $60,000) eligible for overtime, bonuses and full benefits including health, dental, vision, life, long-term disability and 401(k).
