Responsibilities
- Work with Company leadership to advance high priority projects, build brand relationships, and execute short and long-term company strategies to increase revenue streams across the portfolio
- Work with company executives to develop annual revenue goals and expense budgets and engage in monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews to measure adherence to targets
- Conceptualize new sponsorship assets and accompanying sales strategies to generate national brand revenue streams for multiple properties/regions
- Research industry sponsorship trends and insights to exploit new sales opportunities and maximize revenue potential
- Collaborate with properties and Company leadership to manage inventory and new business opportunities
- Incorporate property leadership into strategies for increasing revenue opportunities at-large
- Leverage relationships with C-Level brand decision makers and their advertising agencies
- Develop and maintain relationships with new accounts to cultivate long term success
- Secure and conduct face-to-face sales meetings by leveraging relationships as well as through cold calling
- Negotiate and close sponsorship deals, working with property leadership and Company legal counsel through contract
- Maintain detailed CRM records of all prospects, sales activities, contracts, and fulfillment
- Consistently review and analyze market impact and the success of go-to-market strategies
- Contribute thoughts or actions to boost revenues for company and partner properties
- Other duties as assigned
- 10 years successful and creative sponsorship sales experience
- Graduate degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
- Key relationships with C-level marketing executives with national/regional brands
- Direct experience in and understanding of multimedia rights
- Demonstrated success with media/advertising buys
- Working experience with sponsorship sales, event marketing and activation
- Knowledge of sports marketing including content development and distribution for websites, plus digital and social media
- Demonstrated experience with technology integration
- Experience in pitching, negotiating and closing six and seven figure sponsorship deals
- Ability to develop creative proposals that meet and exceed potential partners’ needs
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships at all levels
- Ability to develop strong peer level relationships and work in a team environment
- Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with KORE CRM a plus
