Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Starting Pay: $18.25 $0.75 shift differential once moved to 2nd shift
Shift(s): 2nd shift – will train on 1st shift
Requirements & Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
· Proven experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably within a manufacturing environment (rubber or automotive industry is a plus).
· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Proficiency in the repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
· Familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
· Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices in an industrial setting.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Primary Duties Include:
· Perform regular preventative maintenance on extrusion and other automated machinery.
· Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
· Inspect equipment for signs of wear or failure and perform necessary repairs or replacements of parts such as belts, motors, and wiring.
· Maintain and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, control panels, and electrical wiring.
· Diagnose and resolve issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
· Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications to improve operational efficiency.
· Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
· Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to the manufacturing process.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repairs, parts usage, and machine performance data.
· Assist in the training of other maintenance staff and production workers on proper maintenance procedures.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
· Ensure that the maintenance area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
· Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform troubleshooting as necessary.
