Warehouse Worker | Michigan City, IN
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Starting Pay: $17.97
Shift(s): 1st shift Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm – possible OT throughout the week or Saturdays if need be
Requirements & Skills:
· Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
· Forklift certification and experience preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
· Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
· Basic computer skills (e.g., use of inventory management software) a plus.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds or as required).
· Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when necessary.
· A strong commitment to safety standards and best practices.
Primary Duties Include:
· Safely and efficiently receive, store, and organize materials, products, and supplies.
· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (as required) to move goods in a fast-paced environment.
· Load and unload trucks and containers in accordance with company procedures.
· Prepare materials and goods for shipment or internal distribution, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
· Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock rotation.
· Ensure the warehouse environment remains organized, clean, and free of hazards.
· Assist in the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment when necessary.
· Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
· Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to meet operational goals.
· Assist with order picking and packing as required.
