What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at JMR Staffing?
We are looking for Maintenance Technician in Stratford, CT.
Essential Functions:
- Perform duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment as directed by manager
- Perform equipment set up procedures as directed by manager
- Read and Interpret Equipment Manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Identify and assist in diagnosing problems and determine tests, adjustments, repairs, or replacement as necessary
- Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Provide emergency, unscheduled repairs for equipment
- Maintain complete documentation in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements
- Ensure proper setup of the packaging line before and during a job run
- Perform pest control duties, as assigned
- Perform tasks related to facility maintenance, as assigned
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner and document according.
- Other Duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by the director.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of production environment and processes.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of American (SAE} and Metric measuring system
- Must be able to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and other facility repair tasks Working knowledge of basic power tool
- Must be able to operate forklift, scissor lift, and other motorized equipment as necessary
