Position Summary :
The Cumberland Gap Tunnel Authority has 38 full-time employees composed of an administrative staff, mechanical and electrical staff and 4 operations teams. Operations consists of 2-day teams and 2-night teams. Each 7-member team works shifts 4 days on and 4 days off. CGTA is hiring 2 full-time operators to work a minimum of 38 hours per week. This is a full-time floating position to include a day shift rotation from 6 : 45 AM to 7 : 15 PM or a night shift rotation from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM or a split shift combination of both rotations. Days and hours to be determined by the Tunnel Manager on an as-needed basis.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a transportation tunnel environment that includes outdoors in all types of weather from extreme heat to extreme cold, rain, snow, etc. for several hours at a time. The environment could include fire scenes, chemical spill sites, confined spaces, bucket truck and aerial man lift and within elevated noise levels.
