What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Maker position at JN White Designs Screenprint INC?
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for preparing screens for printing according to specific instructions from the job bag. This position will also deal with applying emulsion to the screens and reclaim screens when the job is complete. In addition, this position is in charge of maintaining a clean work area. This position will work closely with the printing department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow directions on job bags in order to meet customer requirements
- Ability to learn and apply training
- Learn and follow quality standards
- Maintain both quality and production standards
- Report discrepancies and imperfections to the Production Manager
- Troubleshoot jobs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good judgment of color, design, and print quality.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
