Description
This position will be responsible for packaging and shipping product out by using various shipping services such as UPS, Fed Ex, USPS. Also, responsible to maintain the required documents and databases for reference and tracking.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepares and packages parts for shipment.
- Enters/accesses information on computer required to ship parts to correct locations.
- The shipping clerk maintains all the shipping records and keeps files and papers organized.

Confers and corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and
nonconformance to specifications. - Determines shipping methods for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures regarding Domestic and International shipments.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- May also be responsible for inspecting, waste stripping and/or packaging of product.
Requirements
In addition to the Key Performance Factors listed separately, successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum HS Diploma/GED
- Keen eye to detail
- Ability to count and apply basic math skills
- Above average hand/eye coordination
- Computer experience (Filemaker, email, labeling)
- Ability to read Work Order packet and standards
- Sense of quality and able to inspect against customer specifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to interact effectively with all departments
- Initiative and teamwork skills are required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good judgment and problem solving.
Salary Description
