Role Summary: We are seeking an energetic and fun Social Media & Content Specialist to join our growing tourism focused marketing and advertising agency. In this position, you will craft compelling, brand-aligned copy and visuals across multiple platforms while managing daily social media activities. This role requires the ability to adapt tone, messaging and visual aesthetic for multiple brands and clients, ensuring consistency across social media, blogs, newsletters, email blasts, websites and other digital marketing. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and visual storyteller with experience in social media, capable of balancing creative storytelling with strategic execution to engage audiences and drive results. Social media content creation (photo/video assets and editing) will also be a part of the day to day of this role. This role requires creativity, staying on top of trends, and the ability to understand and adapt to the ever changing and fast-paced social media landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
● Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and growth, tailored to client objectives and business goals.
● Daily Social Media Management: Manage day-to-day social media activities using Sprout Social, including scheduling, posting, community engagement, and responding to audience interactions.
● Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze social media metrics, providing detailed insights and strategic recommendations to optimize performance and improve engagement.
● Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of organic social media campaigns across various platforms, ensuring alignment with client goals and brand voice.
● Client Collaboration: Serve as a front-facing representative in client meetings, providing strategic guidance, performance updates, and proactive solutions to enhance social media impact.
● Copywriting & Content Creation: Develop compelling copy for blogs, newsletters, email blasts, and social media posts, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and brand identity.
● Social Media Asset Creation: Brainstorm, create, shoot and edit new content for social media and digital marketing platforms including photos and videos for use on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and more.
● Trend Integration: Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, implementing innovative strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
● Reporting: Prepare and present detailed performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, campaign effectiveness, and areas for growth.
● Team Collaboration: Work closely with Social Media team members and cross-department client teams to align strategy with execution, provide guidance, and support the overall goals of our clients and agency. This role is a part of a collaborative and fun, yet fast-paced and constantly changing environment. This role will also collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Department and the Creative Department for developing copy for needed materials.
Position Requirements:
● Experience: 1-3 years of experience and knowledge in social media marketing, strategy development, and copywriting, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and content creation.
● Skills: Expertise in social media platforms, knowledge of analytics tools, and content management systems. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creativity. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling and engaging copy across multiple formats. Photography skills, video shooting and editing skills a plus. Skills and proficiency with platforms such as Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
● Copywriting & Content Development: Experience in creating cohesive and aesthetically pleasing visuals and writing for various content formats, including social media posts, blogs, newsletters, email blasts, and website copy. Ability to adapt tone and messaging to align with brand voice and audience engagement strategies.
● Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. Proven ability to interface effectively with clients and stakeholders.
● Analytical Ability: Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and deriving actionable insights to refine content strategy and optimize performance.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
