Job Title: K4 Teacher
Job Description: JOS Learning Academy is looking for a passionate and dedicated K4 Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to early childhood education and a desire to foster a positive and engaging learning environment for young students.
Responsibilities:
· Knowledgeable about Common Core State Standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
· Responsible for classroom management and implementation of school approved curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
· Utilize formative and summative assessment tools to measure student achievement and progress toward learning objectives.
· Teaches grade relevant, subject matter specific and mandated curriculum.
· Prepares lesson plans for daily instruction and individualized learning for students.
· Confidently uses media/technology and other instructional aids to support learning.
· Develop and organize daily school plans, curriculum and materials.
· Maintain records of student progress and use information from teaching and assessments to provide appropriate individual instruction.
· Use available technology and instructional media resources to enhance student learning experiences.
· Assesses documents and prepares reports such as achievement progress, grades and classroom performance, and attendance.
· Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in learning.
· Communicate with parents/guardians regularly through multiple platforms.
· Attend staff meetings and collaborative planning with coworkers and the administrative team.
· Participates in professional learning sessions and/or required conferences.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required.
· A DPI teaching license is required.
· Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
· Strong understanding of child development and educational best practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range: $46,000 to $55,000 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
