Position: Career Technical Training Instructor - Security and Protective Services

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and motivating classroom environment to maximize student engagement and success
- Deliver instruction in Security and Protective Services curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements and program specifications
- Provide counseling and mentorship to students, addressing behavior, training, and personal development needs
- Develop supplemental lessons and recommend curriculum changes to enhance learning outcomes
- Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, adhering to safety practices at all times
- Cultivate a climate of respect and safety on campus, free from harassment and intimidation
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Appropriate certification/license in the state of employment or equivalent
- Professional license/accreditation by a professional trade organization is required
- Extensive practical knowledge of the trade and teaching experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to motivate and inspire students, effectively relating to the trainee population
- Knowledge of required subject area and ability to transfer topical knowledge fluently in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
Working Conditions:
This position involves a variety of physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Environmental demands include exposure to moderate noise levels and fluctuating temperatures.
