Job description: Job Summary:Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our growing team. The Immigration Paralegal will assist the firm in preparation and filing of various visas, petitions, waivers and motions. This role requires a strong understanding of immigration law and procedure with attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills for document centralization.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications, including but not limited to family-based petitions, employment-based petitions, naturalization applications, and asylum applications.
Gather and organize client documents and information.
Conduct legal research related to immigration law.
Communicate with clients regarding case status and requirements.
Maintain and update case files.
Prepare correspondence and legal documents.
Assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Preferably has a paralegal certification, in lieu of will look at total experience.
Prior experience as an immigration paralegal is required, visas for employment or investor/education, and family-based immigration experience.
(EB2, OPT, EB1, etc.)
Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technologically proficient.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a MUST.
