Patent Associate

Job description: This Patent Associate position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with at least one year of legal practice experience, preferably in a law firm setting, to join a prestigious firm with a nationally recognized patent prosecution practice. The role is available in multiple locations, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, NYC, DC, and Seattle, with a focus on life sciences.

Qualifications: Key Requirements:

• Education: A PhD (or MD with research experience) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, oncology, gene editing, gene therapy, or a related field.
• Legal Experience: At least one year of legal practice, ideally at a law firm.
• Bar Admission: Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the work is performed (California, Washington State, New York, or Washington D.C.) and eligibility for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office bar.
• Skills: Strong academic credentials, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
