POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is for monitoring inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials and finished goods are properly verified and reflective of reported inventory. The Cycle Counter will assist all departments of the facility in maintaining inventory accuracy. This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Safety
· Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
· Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
· Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
· Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
Tasks
- Performs cycle counting to verify accuracy of raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
- Operates a stand-up forklift
- Enters data into Excel spreadsheets
- Runs reports for verification and reconciliation purposes
- Records inventory counts; responsible for recounting and recording all variances
- Investigates discrepancies to correct inventory and provides feedback for accountability purposes
- Upholds procedures for correct and incorrect material/finished goods identification
- Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
- Works with employees to raise awareness to procedure/process mistakes related to inventory
· Support company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies
· Assists with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
· Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
· Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
· Moderate computer skills
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and products with sharp edges. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
