Job Summary:
Custodians are responsible for ensuring all cleaning contractual requirements are met for the San Ysidro Border. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using various cleaning chemicals, cloths, and other related cleaning equipment.
Schedule:
The evening shift operates from 7:30pm to 4:30am, while the late night shift runs from 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM. Employees must be able to work weekends and holidays, as facilities are open 365 days a year and operate 24/7.
Essential Functions:
New Employee Signing Bonus: Job Options Inc. will pay a new employee sign-on bonus of $2500 in three separate payments: $500 after 30 days, $1000 after 180 days, and $1000 after 1 Year Anniversary.
Referral Bonus: Eligible employees can receive a referral bonus of $2500 in three separate payments: $500 after 30 days, $1000 after 90 days, and $1000 after 1 Year Anniversary for successfully referring candidates who meet the job requirements.

Essential Functions:
- Clean and service private restrooms, holding cells, lunchrooms, interior inspection booths, and offices in all departments to maintain a presentable environment.
- Dust mop designated areas, spot clean as necessary, collect and dispose of solid waste, vacuum carpeted areas, dust furniture, clean interior and exterior glass, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Maintain custodian closets to ensure accessibility of necessary supplies.
- FOLLOW AND USE PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.
- Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings.

Requirements:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- No prior experience or training is necessary for individuals with disabilities.
- Applicants must undergo a NCIC-III background check (including fingerprinting), which may take up to 6-8 weeks and requires providing background information dating back five years or more.
