Janitor - San Ysidro Facilites

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring all cleaning contractual requirements are met for San Ysidro Border. To include broom, mop, vacuum, using various cleaning chemicals, cloths and the use of other various related cleaning equipment.

Shifts

Day: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Night: 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM

Must be able to work weekends and holidays, facilities are open 365/ days a year and open 24/7 a year

Essential Functions:

• Clean and service private restrooms, holding cells, lunchrooms, interior inspection booths, and offices in all departments to keep them presentable.
• Dust mop all designated areas. Spot clean as necessary. Collect and dispose of all solid waste. Vacuum all carpeted areas. Dust all furniture. Clean all interior and exterior glass. Replenish all supplies as necessary. Police all designated areas.
• Maintain custodian closets to ensure accessibility of necessary supplies.
• Return all supplies and equipment to their proper places. Inform supervisor and/or a project manager of low supplies and equipment that is not working properly.
• Follow and use proper safety precautions.
• Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings.

New Employee Signing Bonus: Job Options Inc. has agreed to pay you a new employee sign- on bonus in the total amount of $3,000 in three separate payments. ($750 after 30 days, $1,000 after 180 days, and $1,250 after 1 Year Anniversary.)

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• No prior experience or training is needed for individuals with disabilities.
• Must initially be willing to undergo a NCIC-III background check (to include fingerprinting) that may take up to 6 - 8 Weeks and will require providing background information of 5 years or more; national & county criminal, employment, education, residency, & more. Any missed information or gaps is subject to disqualification. Resume is highly recommended
• You must be at least 18 Years of age to apply.

Background check Requirements: On- site

• State Driver’s License or ID, Social Security Card as (second form of identification)
• Places/addresses you lived, past five years => name of someone who knows you to live there with their contact inform => that can confirm you at that address (relative, roommate, property manager etc.)
• Five years employ history => must account for any unemployment periods. Must know dates of employ, address, supervisor name and contact information. Reason for leaving employ.
• Name of last school attended, stating what High School. Name of school, address, years attended. Whether or not graduated or have GED
• For male applicants: selective service record
• Any military experience => Branch of service, separation date, type of discharge, correct dates
• Three references “people who know you well” Full name, address and contact phone number. How long have you known them?
