Position Overview:
We are looking to add a member to our Assembly department. Applicants will need to be able to work with others , take and follow directions and have attention to detail. We will not only be assembling Vessels but various projects and or parts. Building crates, pallets and skids so wood working skills required. Packing and wrapping and weighing items for shipments. Hydro testing vessels, possible sand blasting at times or other duties may be needed in the department or in the shop.
Essential Requirements
Follow company policies, procedures, quality control, and safety.
Detail oriented, capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done.
Being able to preform other tasks if assigned outside of Assembly scope of work
Build crates, pallets and organize items on them for secured shipping
Taking shipping pictures, dimensions and weights into Shipping and Receiving Dept. computer.
Conduct inspections according to specified procedures, adhering to all quality system requirements.
. Read blue prints, drawings, sketches for information pertaining to type of materials required, dimensions of the structure or fixture and apply to project
Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, G.E.D.
Effective communication and math skills are essential.
Ability to read and comprehend production process documentation.
Use of overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices to move components safely
Computer skills to keep up with work orders and proper labor codes per job.
Ability to work with others and be respectful of all employees.
Perform assembly type functions using hand tools or power tools.
Move materials using forklifts and overhead crane.
Keeping shop area clean.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Regularly standing, walking, crouching, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting of up to 100 lbs.
All candidates must be willing to submit to a job-related background check, medical exam, and drug screen that is required during the hiring process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
