Job Description :
The Vice President of Gas Supply and Transportation will lead and manage all aspects of the gas supply and transportation process for our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in Arkansas, Louisiana, Illinois, and Maryland. This role requires in-depth knowledge of gas supply procurement, transportation logistics, and regulatory compliance, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and internal teams. As a key member of our dynamic leadership team, the successful candidate will ensure reliable and cost-effective gas delivery while seamlessly integrating cutting-edge energy solutions to drive our mission of advancing the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities :
Gas Supply Procurement :
- Identify and secure reliable natural gas sources, including renewable natural gas (RNG) producers, in line with our commitment to leading the energy transition.
- Analyze market trends and forecast future gas demand to optimize the supply portfolio, supporting our innovative energy projects.
- Manage gas storage facilities to ensure adequate supply during peak demand periods, integrating sustainable practices and innovative energy storage solutions.
- Implement hedging strategies to mitigate price volatility in the gas market, aligning with our mission to provide cost-effective and environmentally friendly energy solutions.
Transportation Management :
Oversee the operation and maintenance of gas pipeline networks, ensuring they complement our infrastructure and community impact goals.Negotiate transportation capacity on interstate pipelines to meet customer needs, focusing on innovative energy transportation solutions that align with our mission.Optimize pipeline utilization to minimize transportation costs and environmental impact, promoting our commitment to the energy transition.Monitor pipeline integrity and compliance with safety regulations, ensuring alignment with environmental standards and our values.Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations related to gas supply and transportation, with a focus on environmental regulations that support our energy transition initiatives.Manage regulatory filings and interactions with regulatory agencies, advocating for policies that promote innovative energy solutions and align with our mission.Stay updated on industry regulations and changes, particularly those impacting the energy transition and natural gas sectors, to support our innovative projects.Financial Oversight :
Develop and manage the gas supply and transportation budget, ensuring it aligns with our commitment to the energy transition and community impact goals.Monitor cost performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction, leveraging innovative energy incentives and solutions.Analyze financial data to inform strategic decision-making, focusing on sustainability, profitability, and our mission.Team Leadership :
Establish a team of gas supply and transportation professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, sustainability, and community impact.Foster collaboration with other departments within our organization, including sales, operations, and engineering, to promote innovative energy projects and support our mission.Develop performance metrics and goals for the gas supply and transportation team, incorporating energy transition targets and our values.Required Skills and Experience :
Deep understanding of the natural gas industry, including market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and pipeline operations, with an emphasis on energy transition and our mission.Proven experience in gas supply procurement and contract negotiation, potentially with RNG producers, aligning with our energy transition goals.Expertise in gas transportation logistics and optimization, with a focus on sustainability and our innovative solutions.Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and financial data, considering energy transition impacts and our community impact goals.Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team and collaborate with stakeholders, promoting our innovative energy initiatives and mission.Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements, particularly those related to the energy transition and our values.Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Petroleum Engineering, Operations Management or Environmental Science. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the natural gas industry, including significant experience in a senior leadership role.Demonstrated success in managing complex gas supply and transportation operations.Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to sustainability and the energy transition.Skills :
