We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counselor to provide 2:1 support for individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will offer personalized care and guidance, promoting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of the resident. The Residential Counselor will work closely with the individual to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured environment while helping them develop necessary life skills and independence.
Skills and Experience:
- 1 year of experience with working individual with severe and persistent mental Illness and chronic medical conditions (preferred)
- Strong communication and documentation skills (requirement)
- Ability to interpret behavioral trends
- Experience with person-centered thinking and planning (preferred)
- Judgment and decision-making skills to handle crisis situations and day-to-day events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 years experience with Autism
- Ability to work in a group setting of 2:1 staff to client ratio or more
- Ability to maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their support teams
- Bachelors degree In Behavioral/Social Science or equivalent 2 year degree/2 years behavioral health experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy (recommended)
