Job Description
  • Provide benefits and retirement counseling and assistance with required paperwork provided to individual employees.
  • Prepare service computation and retirement calculations timely and accurately.
  • Provide Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA), Voluntary Separation Incentive Payment (VSIP), and other workforce restructuring (Reduction in Force (RIF), Directed Reassignment) counseling and implementation support.
  • Counsel and process personnel actions for Death Cases.
  • Counsel and proc​ess personnel actions for Disability Retirement Cases.
  • Counsel and prepare paperwork for Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Correction Act (FERCCA) cases; counsel information accurately and timely.
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external organizations.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience, at least four (4) performing the full range of health benefits and employee retirement administration, providing guidance and consultation to employees, former employees, annuitants, survivors, and eligible family members regarding retirement, insurance, and health benefits. 
  • Position requires proven administrative skills and experience with HR automated systems.
  • Experience with National Finance Center (NFC) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
