IT Project Manager

Summary
Our client is looking for a contract IT Project Manager to join their team! In this role, you will oversee complex projects, manage resources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system implementations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage resources and activities to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget while delighting customers, identify project risks, and set timelines to meet customer expectationsLead and meet with the project team to review the scope of work and create a project plan, scheduling recurring internal and customer-facing meetings as needed during project implementationMaintain documents critical to project implementation, track progress, and provide status updates using MS ProjectIdentify changes to initial SOW and work with customers and operations to implement proper change management processes, integrating the customers' business requirements into operational frameworksRequirements
5 years of overall professional work experience5 years of project management experience in an IT development, along with exposure to all phases of at least one life cycle process modelProficiency with software development methodologies, project management practices, and relevant toolsAbility to apply effective problem-solving techniques and lead teams successfullyExperience in system testing, vendor product solicitation and selection, and relationship management with external partnersFamiliarity with quality management and improvement strategiesComfortable working nights and weekends for system implementations and issue resolutionAbility to travel for company business and professional developmentKnowledge of System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall, Rapid Application Development, or Agile SCRUMSkilled in various project management tools (e.g., Work Breakdown Structure, Organizational Breakdown Structure, Gantt charts, and resource schedules)Experience using the Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify and mitigate project schedule risksStrength in writing and presenting complex proposals and information to diverse audiencesExperience initiating and promoting organizational, process, or policy changesEducation / Certification Requirements
