Financial Controller

Pay: $135K - $150K

Overview:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee its accounting and finance functions. This role is responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, risk management, and overall fiscal leadership to drive profitability, return on investment, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strategic planning, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the annual business plan in collaboration with company leadership.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, and special reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with lenders and ensure timely financial reporting and covenant compliance.
• Supervise daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, Payroll, GL, Product Pricing, Cost Accounting, Fixed Asset Management, Inventory, and Financial Analysis.
• Support company growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and expansion efforts.
• Establish financial goals and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Drive business system improvements to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate, legal, and regulatory financial requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Safeguard company assets and maintain financial performance in line with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
• 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience in financial management within a growing organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
