Job Description
• Responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and analyzing cross-system business process re-engineering recommendations in order to refine or define new or enhanced technology solutions.
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, overall.
• Formalizes, authors, maintains, and communicates software development requirements according to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLc) protocols.
• Provides system and/or user acceptance testing and results documentation for software solutions moving through the SDLc.
• Provides leadership and in-house consultancy for process improvement efforts related to the support of information delivery and core IT services.
• Responsible for impact analysis of process improvement efforts; provides leadership in the implementation and execution of technology solutions to complex business problems.
• Defines cross-system solutions which map to re-engineered business processes.
• Participates in workshops and engagements involving business process modeling. Utilizes Kaizen, Lean or Six Sigma models to drive innovative solutions.
• Works closely with the business by participating in process re-engineering which could result in systems enhancements and/or process re-alignment.
• Performs impact analyses of goals, metrics, and SLAs as they relate to process improvement efforts.
• Gathers, defines, verifies, and documents business priorities and plans projects to support business improvement projects.
• Works closely with technical and business representatives to translate business requirements into software and business process solutions.
• Leads design sessions to support prototyping new systems and/or existing systems solutions for new business opportunities.
• Proactively determines system deficiencies and recommends process/system improvements.
• Provides project team guidance from definition and throughout the rollout of projects, service and activities to meet business requirements and objectives.
• Supports all existing systems to meet the business requirements surrounding cost, quality and SLA targets.
• Supports analysis and design of systems specifications, data requirements. Develops processes and procedures to support business unit processes and workflows.
• Performs training for business personnel when necessary.
• Responsible for demonstrating, initiating, leading, and/or participating in continuous process improvement activities with business teams.
• Under general direction, must be aware of and follow the appropriate security controls and procedures, disaster recovery procedures, and risk mitigation procedures to cost effectively protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
• Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective delivery and support of IT services by adhering to the service delivery framework key management controls.
• Effectively manages workloads in a complex, multi-faceted work environment. Prioritizes time & resource conflicts and communicates effectively and proactively with management to mitigate issues.
Qualifications
• Broad knowledge in a related professional field, usually acquired through college education or extensive software consulting experience.
• Job related experience for 7 years minimum, preferably in a business IT or manufacturing professional role.
• Minimum 7 years direct, hands-on JD Edwards / Oracle EnterpriseOne experience:
o In-depth understanding of the core Distribution modules, including, but not limited to:
Sales Order Management (full lifecycle), Advanced Transportation, and Advanced Pricing.
Purchase Order Management (full lifecycle), Advanced Pricing, Requisition Self Service (RSS)
o Strong general understanding of core inventory management modules and business principles also required.
o Strong general understanding of core DMAAIs, general accounting functionality and integrations and related accounting business principles also required.
o General understanding of Sales Order and Purchase Order impacts to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable modules, respectively.
• 5 years of experience performing complex, large- scale business and systems architecture and analysis efforts.
• 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a business and/or business IT role.
• APICS CPIM or related training is preferred
• Good knowledge of the following areas:
o Data analysis, design, and requirements documentation.
o Issues and tools related to IT and the general direction of the IT industry
o System and business principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures
o Programming, systems design, computer operating systems and utilities, project management, risk management, security, cost management, implementation and start-up of new business processes and computerized systems
• Knowledgeable in process re-engineering and technology areas (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, COBIT, ITIL, CMMi).
