What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Job&Talent?
Urgently hiring for experienced stand up, Crown Forklift Operator.
This position is in a cold environment, approximately 36 degrees.
The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual. Ability to work with limited supervision working with food. Previous forklift experience a must.
Responsibilities:
- Operate one or more of the following: hand pallet jack, forklift, reach truck, hand tools
- Move product safely and accurately
- Pull orders
- May be asked to assist in production
- Pick/Pack product
- Work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform all physical demands of the position including bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs., frequently.
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, memos, and have the ability to write simple correspondence.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must attain certification to operate the mechanical power lift devices such as forklift and/or pallet trucks
- Prefer experience in operating narrow isle Crown trucks preferred.
