Production Operations Lead (2nd Shift)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Operations Supervisor/Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of assembly lines, ensuring production quality, safety, and efficient operation. You'll also monitor scheduling, solve minor issues, and supervise production personnel to ensure all customer specifications are met while staying within budget. This is a 2nd Shift position (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) with occasional weekends required during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain assembly lines to produce products according to customer specifications and within budget.
• Perform minor repairs and improvements on equipment and recognize when maintenance is needed.
• Solve minor problems that arise within your area of responsibility.
• Supervise the flow of materials and supplies to ensure continuous production.
• Ensure all assembly line stations have the necessary components, code stamps, labels, and other supplies.
• Recognize when major repairs or overhauls are needed and coordinate the necessary steps.
• Ensure all work complies with GMPs, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Lead and mentor team members by teaching and guiding them in their roles.
• Organize equipment and resources to ensure optimal production.
• Work with other departments to improve production processes and resolve issues.
• Act as the Operations Supervisor in their absence.
• Maintain a customer-focused mindset throughout the production process.
• Provide support and resources to ensure smooth transitions to subsequent shifts.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in basic math and English.
• Strong record-keeping skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM); weekends as needed during peak seasons.
• Pay Range: $21 - $22 per hour
• Physical Demands:
• Standing, walking, lifting, and occasional bending.
• Exposure to temperature extremes and occasional chemical exposure.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, and boots.
• Occasional to Frequent Activities:
• Pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.
• Regular lifting and carrying.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
