A private non-profit organization is seeking qualified candidates for the Entrepreneurship Education Program Coordinator position.
Major Functions: Responsible for the design and delivery of a series of entrepreneurship education workshops providing participants with foundational business development information and exercises as a strategy for self-assessing the sustainability of their business ideas/plans.
Specific Duties Include:
- Design and prepare workshop schedules, participant forms, and curriculum including PowerPoint presentation, course outline, class exercises, study aids, etc. in accordance with ten (10) small business development topics.
- Conduct one-on-one workshop follow-up consultations with participants. Establish referral sources to assist workshop participants interested in further developing their small business plan.
- Recruit guest speakers/mentors to present small business development information to workshop participants.
- Responsible for recruitment efforts including action plan and regular progress reports. Develop and distribute marketing materials including signage, flyers, pre-registration forms, quarterly newsletters, and press releases. Establish and maintain a current listing of potential grant-eligible participants and conduct one-on-one follow up in person, by phone, or email.
- Present workshops
- Track and record program information including enrollment statistics, participant characteristics/eligibility status, and new business startups according to grant reporting requirements.
- Prepare routine and special program reports.
- Additional Information:
- May work on other projects as necessary and appropriate for position as assigned by management. Willing to travel to conferences and workshops as may be required. Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license. Reports to the Executive Director or designee.
- Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development and management. Exemplary presentation, writing, and organizational skills. Experience using Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. History of working collaboratively with resource networks.
