Are you an experienced accountant with a knack for property and multifamily property accounting? Do you have an unparalleled eye for detail and a passion for numbers? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a dynamic, driven, and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to join our Property Accounting team. This position will give you the opportunity to use your accounting expertise and leadership skills to oversee and manage all aspects of our property accounting operations. You will be at the forefront of our financial operations, ensuring our company's financial health and success.
Responsibilities :
As our Lead Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
Overseeing and managing all aspects of property and multifamily property accounting.Ensuring that all financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the company’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in line with statutory regulations.Preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.Coordinating and completing annual audits, providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Reviewing and approving balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and various other accounting statements and reports.Supervising, training, and mentoring members of the accounting team.Developing and implementing best practices for property accounting functions.Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.Liaising with external auditors and managing internal controls.Qualifications :
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you need to meet the following qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in property and multifamily property accounting.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Proven experience as a team leader with strong supervisory and management skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and think strategically.High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who is ready to take their career to the next level.
