We are seeking a dynamic and experienced contract Accounts Payable Clerk to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. Responsibilities :
As a contract Accounts Payable Clerk, your main responsibilities will include :
1. Processing and verifying invoices received from suppliers and vendors.
2. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable.
3. Reconciling processed invoices by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
4. Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
5. Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
6. Continuing to improve the payment process.
7. Assisting with month-end closing.
8. Providing supporting documentation for audits.
9. Maintaining confidentiality of organizational information.
10. Collaborating with the finance team to implement financial strategies and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you will need :
1. Either a bachelor's degree in Accounting OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable with Associates Degree
2. Advanced knowledge of invoicing and general financial processes.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
9. Experience with financial audits and knowledge of GAAP.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
