A prestigious organization within the construction industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Assistant Project Manager to play a crucial role in our ambitious Data Center Upgrade project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), utility upgrades, and data center operations. This role is pivotal to our success and will offer the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a team that is transforming our data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities :
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of our Data Center Upgrade project. Your responsibilities will include :
1. Assisting in the planning and implementation of the Data Center Upgrade project, ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
2. Coordinating with the MEP team, ensuring the effective execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
3. Overseeing utility upgrades and ensuring they are performed in line with project requirements and industry standards.
4. Monitoring project progress, identifying any potential issues or delays and taking proactive steps to mitigate any risks.
5. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a timely and professional manner.
6. Ensuring all project documentation is accurately maintained and updated, including project plans, schedules, and budgets.
7. Collaborating with the project team to ensure the successful handover of the upgraded data center.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management within the construction industry, with specific experience in data center upgrades. The following qualifications are required :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) aspects of a project.
3. Demonstrable experience in overseeing utility upgrades.
4. Strong knowledge of data center operations and previous experience in managing data center upgrade projects.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks.
7. Proficient in project management software and tools.
8. A degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering, is preferred.
