Job Details
The Construction Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations specific to our construction projects and services, including job cost accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires expertise in construction accounting, proficiency with Procore, and experience with QuickBooks.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and monitor job cost accounting for all construction projects.
- Track project budgets, costs, and profitability to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and review cost reports, identifying variances and working with project managers to control costs.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Generate reports for management to assist in decision-making processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payments.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted goals and provide variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Utilize Procore and QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting.
- Participate in the evaluation and potential implementation of new accounting software.
- Provide training and support to team members on new software systems as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Qualifications :
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
