Job Details
The Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, journal entries, month-end close, job cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and strategic financial guidance. Additionally, the Accounting Controller will oversee the human resources and administrative functions of the business, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and execute the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and general ledger.Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Lead the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.Conduct job cost accounting and analysis to ensure accurate project costing and profitability.Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to provide timely and accurate financial information to management.Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory compliance requirements.Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for the company's operations.Coordinate and support the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.Oversee human resources functions, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.Manage administrative functions, including office management, vendor management, and procurement of office supplies and equipment.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and strategic initiatives.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Experience in the architecture, construction, or engineering industry is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project or job costing.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experienced with Deltek highly preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits :

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
