We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Estimator for our Landscaping division within the Construction industry. This role is pivotal in supporting our business's growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating landscaping projects, performing take-offs, and preparing bids for commercial landscaping projects. This individual will also be expected to analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Responsibilities :
1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for landscaping projects, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
2. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and materials pricing.
3. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Prepare and submit bidding proposals to clients, ensuring all bids are submitted on time.
5. Communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, management, and other parties regarding project details and updates.
6. Use software applications such as Timberline and On-Screen Take-Off (OST) to optimize accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
7. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during the estimate preparation to ensure accurate understanding of the scope of work and that the plan for project execution is in line with the project budget.
8. Conduct risk analysis for the projects and include in the final cost estimate.
9. Maintain a comprehensive and updated database of costs : labor, materials, equipment, etc., for future reference and use in estimates.
10. Participate in the presentation of project proposals and the negotiation of final project pricing.
Qualifications :
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in landscaping industry.
2. Proven experience in preparing bids, performing take-offs, and analyzing blueprints.
3. Proficiency in using industry software such as Timberline and On-Screen Take-Off (OST) a plus.
4. Demonstrated understanding of landscaping construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
5. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
6. Must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean MVR.
