Job Details
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Heavy Civil Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction with a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget. This role is integral to our operations and requires a dedicated professional who can lead and inspire a team, while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality standards. As a Heavy Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for the management and execution of all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities :
Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing project development from initiation to closure.
Manage all aspects of construction projects, including cost control, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.
Supervise and coordinate onsite operations including personnel, subcontractors, and materials.
Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, drawings, and applicable building codes.
Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Conduct daily and weekly meetings with project team to discuss progress and address any issues or challenges.
Ensure all safety and environmental guidelines are followed strictly.
Prepare and submit project reports, and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, tunnels, and dams.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in construction software programs and MS Office suite.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel as needed.
