Job Details
The RN Team Leader supports the Team Manager position by providing leadership and guidance to the professional staff
on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies
of the program
Mentors and provides leadership and direction to the field nurses under his / her direction.
Conducts supervisory visits in the field with nurses
Oversees nursing documentation compliance for team
Promotes employee satisfaction and takes necessary action to maintain a productive and motivated
staff.
Facilitates periodic learning events and conducts regularly scheduled meetings.
Identifies potential risk issues and contributing factors in all areas of patient care, safety and legal
matters, including potential for adverse publicity.
Investigates events where appropriate, determines the root causes of incidents and shares information with
appropriate individuals within reasonable timeframes.
Documents staff receipt of compliance information, such as “Code of Conduct”, attendance at mandatory
training
Integrates department services into the organization’s strategic mission by setting goals that align
with the mission and monitoring progress toward goals.
Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, required; BSN or BS degree
preferred.
Experience Hospice nursing experience required; Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
